Welcome Belinda!

Sep 4, 2025

We are so excited here at FVC to have welcomed Belinda McCawley to the FVC team last month!

Belinda has joined FVC’s Environmental Assessment and Management (EAM) team as a Principal Environmental Consultant.

With over 15 years of experience working across infrastructure, resources, and government sectors, Belinda is an experienced and outcomes-focused environmental professional.  She is skilled in managing environmental approvals, compliance, and the on-ground implementation of environmental management plans for complex projects.  Belinda brings a strong background in operational environmental management, providing clear advice and practical solutions that meet regulatory requirements.  She works closely with contractors, stakeholders, and consultants to support planning, construction, and operations.  Belinda has extensive experience navigating both State and Commonwealth environmental approvals, including primary approvals under the Environmental Protection Act 1986 and Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.  She is also significantly experienced in managing secondary approvals, such as Condition Environmental Management Plans, research projects, Part V licences, and other permit applications.  Belinda’s work ensures projects are strategically aligned, approval-ready, and compliant throughout delivery.  As an Accredited Expert with Accounting for Nature, Belinda has the ability to support scientifically credible and transparent reporting on environmental conditions, aligned with emerging sustainability and natural capital frameworks.

Outside of consulting, Belinda is the founder of ‘Mindful in Nature’, a purpose-led business that blends mindfulness and ecopsychology practices with time outdoors.  Grounded in values of connection, wellbeing, and care for the environment, her work creates opportunities for people to slow down, restore balance, and deepen their relationship with the more-than-human world.

In her spare time, Belinda is most at home in the garden and on or near the water.  She is currently transforming her garden by removing all lawn to create an abundant, organic space filled with seasonal fruit and vegetables, designed to welcome birds, pollinators, and other wildlife.  The coast has been part of Belinda’s life since childhood, and when not tending to the garden, she treasures the quiet rhythm of casting a line, listening to the water, and being present with the life around her.

We are very fortunate to have Belinda join the FVC team, we are sure you’ll agree.

Welcome, Belinda!
