Welcome Brittany!

Apr 30, 2026

Please join us in welcoming Brittany Selby to FVC as our newest Graduate Ecologist.

Britt joined us in early March and has already been initiated into the world of remote Pilbara surveys via helicopter.

Britt completed her Bachelor of Environmental Science at the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2022.  She joins FVC with consulting experience across varied ecological assessments.  This existing experience has included inputs into projects in the mining and land development sectors, as well as projects for conservation initiatives.

Across her career to date, Britt has established a strong background flora and fauna assessments and management.  Specifically, she has contributed to targeted threatened fauna surveys, weed mapping, vegetation condition assessments, pre-clearance flora and fauna surveys, and various fauna management programs.  As well as ecological field surveys, Britt has gained experience in assisting with flora identifications and in contributing to components of technical reports.

Over the past few weeks, Britt has shown herself to be highly-organised, detail-oriented, and passionate!  She is keen to continue developing her expertise, particularly in Western Australian floral taxonomyThat sure will come in handy!  We are excited to support her as she grows her skills.

Outside of work, Britt is usually outdoors or on the move.  She loves travelling and camping, discovering new places, and exploring wherever she is.  Britt is a dedicated and keen runner, and she enjoys taking part in events across a variety of distances and terrains.  She also enjoys spending time at the beach, walking, snorkeling, and scuba diving.

Welcome to the FVC team, Brittany!
