Fauna Assessments

The FVC team have comprehensive fauna assessment capabilities in-house

FVC’s capability in fauna assessments spans Basic, Detailed (trapping) and Targeted Fauna Surveys in accordance with EPA Guidance. We are able to service all terrestrial vertebrate and short-range endemic (SRE) fauna assessments in-house, and can supplement projects with subterranean (stygofauna and troglofauna) surveys with the support of specialist sub-consultants. Our team are among the most capable and well-regarded in Australia in conducting targeted habitat assessments for Threatened Black-Cockatoos. Our capabilities also extend to targeted assessments for all conservation-significant vertebrate fauna relevant to all regions across Western Australia.

Our expertise across the full spectrum of biological and ecological factors means that we are able to address fauna assessments as an adjunct to flora and vegetation assessments, achieving not only time and budget efficiencies, but also results that consider the ecosystem as a whole, and therefore more likely to be an accurate reflection of site values. Our holistic approach and capability is also more highly-regarded by regulatory authorities.
