Kalgoorlie Nickel Pty Ltd (Kalgoorlie Nickle) is focused on the development of the Kalgoorlie Nickel Project (KNP Project), located approximately 80 km north of Kalgoorlie and 40 km south of Menzies in Western Australia’s Goldfields region.

In 2018, FVC undertook two phases of detailed and targeted flora and vegetation assessment for the project, in accordance with EPA Technical Guidance.  A further two phases of detailed and targeted assessment were then undertaken in 2023, in some aligning and some additional areas.  Data processing and reporting synthesised the large volumes of data collected across the four phases of studies spanning a survey areas of more than 30,000 hectares.  In 2025, the FVC team were then engaged to undertake further surveys of areas designated for infrastructure corridors for the project.  The ongoing relationship with the project over more than seven years is testament to the FVC team’s ability to service the large scale surveys across remote areas in a harsh environment, and produce high-quality reporting outputs that meet regulator expectations.
