Main Roads extended Mitchell Freeway to Romeo Road, resulting in unavoidable impacts to Banksia woodland and Black-Cockatoo habitat.  The Commonwealth therefore require offsets, and FVC was commissioned to prepare the Offsets Strategy.  The offset package will comprise a combination of direct (land) offsets and other activities.  The majority of the eight sites under consideration have been assessed in detail for flora, vegetation and fauna values by the FVC team over recent years.

The challenge of meeting evolving requirements and expectations of the Commonwealth regulator is being overcome for the strategy via FVC’s close collaboration with our client, an intimate understanding of the matters requiring offset, and unrivalled knowledge of the offsets process.
