Jay completed his Bachelor of Science in Conservation and Wildlife Biology and Marine Biology at Murdoch University in 2025. He is the recipient of a number of scholarships and academic awards, including the Rose and Stan de Pierres Scholarship, and the Vice Chancellor’s Commendation for Academic Excellence. Jay has undertaken flora and fauna field surveys throughout southwest Western Australia and, through multiple internship positions, has gained practical experience in ecological monitoring, habitat design, and collaborative fieldwork, working across both government and community contexts. Jay brings strong analytical skills, complemented by business ownership experience, which has strengthened his time management, problem‑solving, and communication capabilities.
